About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Analyst to support enterprise-wide data enablement initiatives within the Chief Administrative Office (CAO). This role will focus on transforming business needs into scalable data solutions through advanced analysis, data modeling, and requirements definition.
The ideal candidate is analytical, self-directed, and collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data governance partners to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability across key operational functions.
Responsibilities- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements for strategic data use cases.
- Design scalable data models and define data element relationships to support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Develop and document data sourcing, transformation, and validation requirements.
- Perform data analysis, profiling, cleansing, and root cause analysis to improve data integrity and quality.
- Support database enhancement initiatives and contribute to logical data architecture solutions.
- Create and maintain metadata management documentation, including data lineage and data-sharing specifications.
- Assess upstream system changes and evaluate potential downstream data impacts.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and actionable data solutions.
- Collaborate with technology, analytics, and governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data standards and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications- 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data management roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Experience with data cleansing, validation, transformation, and profiling using tools such as Alteryx and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Experience documenting data requirements, business rules, and database specifications.
- Knowledge of metadata management and data governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Google Cloud data technologies, including BigQuery and Dataplex.
- Familiarity with SSIS packages and scheduled jobs.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with Jira or other Atlassian tools.
