Job Title: Technical Rules and Standards Associate I
Duration: 1+ years (Potential convert FTE at the end of year 1 or year 2 depending on budget at the time)

Description:
- Evaluates, implements, and maintains the organization's compliance with regulatory rules and standards for technical areas that include but are not limited to operations, planning, siting, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), reliability, and safety.
- Maintains programs and procedures to ensure compliance with technical standards established by national, regional, and local regulatory authorities, and prepares related regulatory filings and reports.
- Participates in audits, training, risk assessments, and security reviews of compliance programs and takes actions to remediate noncompliance issues.
- Interacts with technical representatives from regulatory authorities and other energy market participants.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparing compliance documentation for regulatory filings, including self-certifications and audit evidence packages.
- Reviews operational logs and technical data to confirm adherence to reliability and security standards.
- Maintains compliance tracking tools and organizes evidence repositories for audits.
- Supports internal audits by gathering and validating documentation against regulatory checklists.
- Monitors updates to reliability and security standards and communicates changes to team members.
- Participates in compliance training focused on technical rules and security requirements.
- Follows standard operating procedures for evidence collection and reporting.
- Escalates potential compliance gaps to senior staff for resolution.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- 3 key things the host manager is looking for: someone who is a team player, someone who has strong attention to detail, and someone who can multitask.
- Plus: someone who has experience with Power BI or Smart sheets.
- Degree not required- she will take someone with equivalent YOE.
Education:
- Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
