HMG AMERICA LLC is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role involves designing and developing custom applications, managing workflows, and supporting integrations, while ensuring adherence to best practices and performance guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform
- Design and develop custom applications, custom rules, and platform customizations
- Configure and develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and ACLs
- Build and manage workflows using Flow Designer, including Flow Actions and Subflows
- Develop and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub
- Work on new module implementations and enhancements (ITSM and other ServiceNow modules as required)
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and platform performance guidelines
- Support testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization
- Collaborate closely with architects, functional consultants, and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer
- Solid experience in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API)
- Proven experience with Business Rules, customizations, and custom development
- Strong expertise in Flow Designer, Flow Actions, and automation
- Experience working on integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub)
- Experience implementing or enhancing ServiceNow modules (ITSM preferred)
- Good understanding of ServiceNow data model, security, and performance considerations
- Experience in Service now CMDB/AMDB processes
- Experience in CMDB/AMDB data Model and configuration
- Experience in CMDB assessment and data cleanup activity
- Experience in Service catalog development
- Knowledge of CMDB Normalization, Identification and Reconciliation jobs
- Experience in Service now customization
- Integration experience using SOAP/Restful API
- At least 2 years of experience in CSDM led CMDB implementation using Service Now platform
- Experience in designing, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data
- Experience in building CMDB health Dashboard and custom reporting
- Good written and communication skills
- ITIL Foundation Level Certification
- Installation/Configuration and implementation of the discovery tool
- Strong troubleshooting skills, reading logs, solving complex workflow issues
- Writing maintainable code as per best coding practices
- At least 3 years of experience in Implementing discovery solutions for multiple customers
- Experience in Writing custom patterns for discovering custom/in-house applications
- Experience in Scripting and solutions to expand the ServiceNow Discovery module
- Knowledge of scripting language
- Experience in building custom integration using adapters, custom connectors
- Candidate should be comfortable in scripting and coding Discovery Probes and Sensors, CMDB, CMDB Types and Scripting
- Candidate should be knowledgeable and familiar in the ServiceNow Discovery offerings
- Candidate should lead a customer through knowledge and requirements discussions for implementing and deploying ServiceNow Discovery
- Candidate should have experience in Coding, Test Scripts and Configuration for ServiceNow Discovery. He can configure ServiceNow MID Servers in customer environments
- Candidate should have experience in Developing Customized Probes and Sensors for Discovery
- Candidate should have experience in Delivering technical workshops on Discovery, integration with full knowledge of CMDB/AMDB Lifecycle
- Candidate should have Expert understanding on import sets and transform maps, working with external data Sources, ServiceNow data mapping
- Candidate can Articulate the ServiceNow CMDB Classes for Asset and Configuration, their relationships and dependencies
- Work with process owners to understand the business service architecture and required information related to business/service map data and develop technical specifications and solutions
- Work with systems managers to ensure that the Discovery tool has the appropriate access and permissions to capture configuration information
- Provide visibility to the performance and issues related to Discovery
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to understand IT technology strategy that guide which requirements need to be gathered
- Work with Application SMEs to create and validate Service Maps for key applications
- Maintain the integrity of the Service Mapping module across production and non-production environments
- Writing maintainable code as per best coding practices wherever required
- At least 5 years of experience in Implementing Service Mapping solutions for multiple customers
- Candidate should be comfortable in scripting and coding Discovery Patterns, CMDB, CMDB Types and Scripting
- Candidate should be knowledgeable and familiar in the ServiceNow Discovery/Service Mapping offerings
- Candidate should lead a customer through knowledge and requirements discussions for implementing and deploying ServiceNow Service Mapping
- Candidate should have experience in Coding, Test Scripts and Configuration for ServiceNow Service Mapping along with ability to configure ServiceNow MID Servers in customer environments
- Candidate should have experience in Developing Customized Patterns for Discovery/Service Mapping
- Candidate should have experience in Delivering technical workshops on Service Mapping, Discovery, integration with full knowledge of CMDB/AMDB Lifecycle
- Candidate can clearly Articulate the ServiceNow CMDB Classes for Asset and Configuration, their relationships and dependencies
- Candidates with discovery and other ITOM certification will be preferred
- Candidates with Service Mapping, discovery and other ITOM certification will be preferred
