aiEDU is a nonprofit dedicated to creating equitable learning experiences that empower students with AI literacy. They are seeking two experienced product managers to support the development of educator- and student-facing products, leveraging AI to expedite the product development process while coaching internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Define the product vision and roadmap in partnership with relevant aiEDU leaders and stakeholders
- Define the problem space, surface constraints, and document current-state pain points
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, user testing and other research to guide product development and feature prioritization
- Translate requirements into a phased roadmap with clear milestones
- Partner with our VP of Operations to identify and address relevant security, safety, privacy and legal considerations
- Develop and maintain a product requirements document (PRD) or equivalent
- Build the product end-to-end across a 2-3 month window, coordinating across aiEDU stakeholders to maintain alignment. Ideally, you can get the product to 90% yourself, and then partner with a contracted engineer to ensure the product is ready for full deployment
- Define evaluation criteria and product analytics aligned with aiEDU's mission and operational needs; evaluate and refine product as needed
- Coach and upskill aiEDU’s own staff throughout the engagement, sharing best practices for product development and creating documentation, templates and frameworks that can be used for future product development
- Support our Operations team in advancing the aiEDU’s team internal AI readiness, advising as relevant on AI-assisted product development, AI augmented workflows and the shared infrastructure required to take our work to the next level
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience, including experience leading 0→1. Experience turning ambiguous ideas into clear product requirements, prototypes, delivery plans, and launch decisions
- A hands-on AI power user, integrating AI into every stage of product development and evaluation
- Significant expertise in UI/UX front end development
- Technical fluency, including experience with authentication, data infrastructure and security and privacy considerations. Ability to define clear technical requirements and partner with contracted engineers to deliver
- Demonstrated ability to run discovery processes and user testing. Strong user empathy for educators, students, nonprofit teams, and partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong documentation habits
- Strong communication and facilitation skills—you can lead a cross-functional process without formal authority
- Genuine interest in mentorship; you're comfortable explaining your process while doing it
- Experience working in K-12 education, educator professional learning, curriculum or student-facing technology, including addressing privacy, safety and equity issues
- Familiarity with curriculum or learning operations workflows
- Experience with tools commonly used in EdTech or content management (e.g., Clever, Google for Education) as well as Airtable
