Blu Omega is a Woman-Owned Small Business delivering technology and cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies. They are seeking a Project Manager to support a federal program focused on public health data modernization, responsible for project coordination, Agile delivery support, stakeholder communication, and risk management across multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project coordination, including maintaining project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and tasks using Jira and approved documentation
- Facilitate meetings such as standups, check-ins, and retrospectives; prepare agendas, document notes, and track action items
- Coordinate project documentation, including charters, deliverables, and meeting materials, following established templates and conventions
- Support risk, issue, and dependency tracking; communicate potential blockers to project leadership
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to align tasks, milestones, and deliverables
- Monitor quality and completeness of project outputs prior to submission or handoff
- Support Agile practices by coordinating backlog updates, milestones, and Jira task hygiene
- Contribute to post-project reviews and lessons learned activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least four (4) years of full life cycle project management experience for complex technical initiatives
- Experience producing project plans, schedules, status reports, and executive briefings
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Hands-on experience managing cross-discipline teams (Technical, Functional, SME)
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving requirements
- Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies in multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong command of Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of public health systems and workflows
- Experience supporting CDC, HHS, or similar federal public health programs
- Exposure to AI-enabled tools, decision support, or automation in public health
- Experience with system modernization or legacy system migration efforts
