Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer (Azure / Data Engineering)

MSR Technology Group is seeking a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data program focused on modernizing and scaling cloud-based data pipelines. This role requires strong experience in building data pipelines within Azure ecosystems and contributing to end-to-end data engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure technologies (including Azure Data Factory and related services)
• Develop and optimize data ingestion and transformation workflows across multiple data sources
• Lead and support migration efforts from legacy data platforms to modern Azure-based architectures
• Contribute to data modeling, performance tuning, and overall data platform optimization
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps best practices for data engineering workflows
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across all pipelines and systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, analytics, business stakeholders) to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to mid-level engineers on the team

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure data services
• Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse concepts
• Experience with CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices in data environments
• Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and tune data pipeline performance
• Experience leading or supporting data platform migrations to Azure
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
• Exposure to Python or Spark-based data processing
• Experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud data platforms
• Prior experience in healthcare or regulated industries
