CVS Health is looking for a Manager, AI Engineer to join our team and serve as a hands-on technical contributor driving the adoption and expansion of the Anthropic Claude platform across the enterprise. You will design and build AI-powered integrations, workflows, and tooling that connect Claude to the systems and data our teams rely on every day.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between the Anthropic Claude platform and enterprise systems using the Claude API and MCP servers
- Develop and manage MCP server configurations to extend Claude's capabilities and connect it to internal tools, databases, and third-party services
- Build and optimize prompt pipelines, agentic workflows, and automations that solve real business problems at scale
- Evaluate and implement integration patterns for connecting Claude to enterprise platforms such as Slack, Microsoft 365, Jira, and internal data sources
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the AI stack, from API behavior to MCP tool execution
- Write clean, well-documented code and contribute to shared standards for how the team builds on top of Claude
- Test and iterate on AI workflows to improve reliability, performance, and output quality
- Stay current on Anthropic platform updates, new model capabilities, and the evolving MCP ecosystem
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical discipline
- 2+ years of experience using Python and/or JavaScript, with hands-on experience building and consuming APIs
- 1-2 years of experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP), including building or configuring MCP servers and tools
- 1-3 years' experience with agentic AI patterns, prompt engineering, and working with large language models in production
- 1-3 years' experience with the Anthropic Claude platform inclusive of Claude Code and Claude Chat
- Must be able to work east coast business hours
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in healthcare or a highly regulated industry
- Familiarity with enterprise security and governance considerations around AI
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across distributed systems and API-driven architecture
- Experience integrating AI or SaaS platforms with enterprise systems and internal tooling
