ScienceLogic is redefining IT operations for the modern enterprise. They are seeking a Senior AI Platform Integration Engineer to design, build, and support scalable internal APIs and integration services for their next-generation AI platform, Skylar.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and integration services that support Skylar’s AI and automation capabilities
- Contribute to integration standards and best practices for how internal teams expose data and services to the AI platform, including authentication, versioning, schema contracts, and access control
- Develop APIs with token-based authentication (JWT/OAuth 2.0) and endpoint-level authorization controls designed for both user-facing and automated workloads
- Support the implementation and evolution of Skylar’s RBAC model, including role definitions, permission structures, and policy enforcement patterns across a multi-tenant platform
- Assist with enterprise SSO integrations using SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC), including integration with identity providers such as Okta, Azure AD, or Ping Identity
- Partner with ATLAS (OTEL Platform), SPACE (Core Platform & Infrastructure), and Data Platform teams to align on API contracts, data semantics, and integration requirements
- Implement audit logging and observability practices for authenticated access, authorization events, and system activity across the integration layer
- Contribute to identity-aware request routing and session context propagation through Skylar’s platform infrastructure
- Design and maintain containerized integration services running on Kubernetes, including secure secret and configuration management practices
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering documentation efforts
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices across the team
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend or integration engineering experience in production environments
- Strong experience developing production services using Python (FastAPI, Flask) and/or Go
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise APIs and integration services
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization systems, including RBAC models and multi-tenant access patterns
- Hands-on experience with enterprise SSO protocols such as SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC), including integrations with providers like Okta, Azure AD, or Ping Identity
- Strong understanding of API security, schema validation, and data integration patterns across distributed systems
- Experience participating in technical design reviews and contributing to engineering documentation such as RFCs or ADRs
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and modern CI/CD practices
- Experience working collaboratively across engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with AI-enabled, agentic, or LLM-driven systems and service integrations
- Familiarity with API gateway technologies and authentication enforcement patterns such as rate limiting, token validation, and IP allowlisting
- Exposure to ClickHouse or other analytical databases
- Background in observability, infrastructure tooling, or AIOps platforms
- Familiarity with compliance and security best practices, including audit trail design and least-privilege access models in enterprise SaaS environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple engineering teams
