TrueNAS is redefining enterprise storage by delivering proven data resilience and performance. The Growth Marketing Specialist is responsible for SEO execution, email campaign management, organic social, and channel partner communications to build awareness and generate inbound pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct keyword research and map search intent across priority topic areas; use AI tools to accelerate research and identify content gaps
- Own on-page optimization, content briefs, and internal linking across the site
- Partner with the Technical Marketing Engineer on technical SEO initiatives requiring code or schema work
- Track SEO performance and translate findings into actionable roadmap updates
- Maintain and evolve the content SEO calendar in coordination with the Content Manager
- Own campaign execution, send scheduling, and the email content calendar
- Use AI-assisted drafting to produce and iterate on copy faster, while maintaining a consistent brand voice
- Coordinate with the Demand Generation Manager on list segmentation, workflows, and Salesforce data
- QA campaigns before send: copy, targeting, links, and rendering
- Track performance and report on what's working
- Manage organic social across the channels relevant to TrueNAS's audience
- Write, schedule, and distribute content — using AI tools to generate variants and adapt content across formats without starting from scratch each time
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence without gaps
- Manage relationships with industry councils and advisory groups TrueNAS participates in
- Coordinate communications, submissions, and deliverables tied to those memberships
- Ensure TrueNAS is represented accurately and consistently across those channels
- Own the calendar and execution for partner-facing email communications
- Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to keep partner messaging current and accurate
- Ensure content produced by the content team reaches the right audiences through the right channels
- Repurpose and adapt content for email, social, and part
Requirements:
- A degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- 2–4 years in SEO, digital marketing, or a channel marketing role where you were the person doing the work, not delegating it; a track record of owning multiple channels without a large team supporting you
- Working knowledge of search intent, on-page optimization, content briefs, and internal linking; familiarity with at least one SEO platform (Ahrefs, Semrush, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with an email platform (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, or similar), a CMS (WordPress, Webflow, Contentful, or similar), and a social scheduling tool
- Regular, practical use of AI tools for drafting, content repurposing, copy variants, and research — without needing setup support; ability to recognize and correct subpar output
- Demonstrated system for managing competing priorities across multiple distinct workstreams
- Ability to review most content before it goes out — including AI-assisted drafts — and make it publication-ready
- A combination of professional or educational experience (whether formal or informal) that affords you the knowledge, skills, and abilities above is also considered
- Experience in B2B tech or a market where the buyer is technical or skeptical
- Council, association, or advisory management experience
- A content property you've grown independently — a newsletter, a site, a social account — with real traffic or engagement numbers
