Senior Data Engineer

Jahnel Group is a fast-growing INC 5000 recognized company that focuses on creating a great environment for software creators. They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines, while also mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage Snowflake and Looker to build, analyze, and optimize scalable data models and reporting solutions
• Perform advanced data analysis using Python and SQL to inform business decisions and improve data processes
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, helping elevate overall data capabilities and best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and analytics teams
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across the organization
• Drive automation, efficiency, and reliability in data processes
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the growth of our data engineering best practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
• Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Looker, Python, and SQL
• Proven ability to design, optimize, and maintain data workflows
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams
• Self-starter mindset—comfortable working with minimal supervision
