Job Title: AI/ML Delivery Lead
Location: West Sacramento, CA (Onsite subject to business needs)
Duration: 24 Months (with possible extension up to additional 24 months)
Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Delivery Lead to drive the successful execution of enterprise-level AI and data analytics initiatives. This role will oversee multiple projects focused on Generative AI deployment, AI adoption, and large-scale transformation across various business functions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong project management expertise with hands-on knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and model lifecycle management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

<>Program & Project Leadership</>

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI/ML and data analytics initiatives across multiple programs
• Manage complex projects with budgets exceeding $1M, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
• Utilize PMBOK, SDLC, Agile, and hybrid methodologies to drive project success

<>AI/ML Delivery & Implementation</>

• Oversee Generative AI and machine learning implementation efforts
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to operationalize AI solutions
• Ensure proper management of data pipelines, model development, deployment, and lifecycle

<>Stakeholder Management</>

• Work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and IT teams
• Translate technical concepts into clear business insights and outcomes
• Provide regular updates, dashboards, and executive-level reporting

<>Tools & Process Management</>

• Utilize project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Excel, and similar platforms
• Ensure adherence to project portfolio management (PPM) processes and governance standards

<>Team Leadership</>

• Lead cross-functional teams across multiple concurrent projects
• Foster collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience managing complex, enterprise-level IT projects
• 2+ years of experience managing AI/ML or data analytics projects
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and model lifecycle
• 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent initiatives
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI implementations
• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and analytics ecosystems
• PMP or Agile/Scrum certifications
• Experience working in large public sector or regulated environments

Work Requirements

• Onsite work required, with flexibility based on business needs (onsite/remote/hybrid)
• Work must be performed during standard business hours
