GE Vernova is focused on advancing nuclear technology and is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead deployment and execution projects for small modular reactors (SMRs). This role involves managing project activities, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining customer satisfaction while supporting the Project Director in various project management tasks.
Responsibilities:
- On-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources
- Maintain Project Risk Register to communicate and mitigate overall project risk level
- Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
- Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
- Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
- Develop and issue the Project Work Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
- Project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Director
- Ensure compliance with U. S. export control and other requirements as applicable
- Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
- Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
- Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
- Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
- Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management
- Minimum 3 years managing medium- to large-scale projects (with multi-disciplinary team and project)
- Domestic and International travel up to 25%
- This role requires access to U.S. export - controlled information, if applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export - controlled information from the U.S. government
- PMP Certification
- Nuclear power industry experience in operations or engineering
- Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design
- Experience with commercial negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve complex problems
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers, managers, and team members
- Ability to distill complex information and focus on critical priorities
- Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy, based on best available information
- Experience working in a matrixed environment
- Well-developed planning and organizational skills
