Technatomy Corporation is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for various government agencies. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a mission-focused enterprise SaaS modernization effort within the Department of Veterans Affairs, overseeing project governance, schedule management, and stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project management and governance activities for a federal enterprise IT modernization effort supporting VA planning, programming, budgeting, execution, acquisition, and workflow management objectives
- Coordinate recurring weekly and monthly status meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, action item tracking, decision documentation, and timely meeting minutes
- Prepare, review, and deliver program-level status reporting, including weekly status updates, Monthly Program Status Reports, staffing updates, risk and issue summaries, milestone tracking, and executive-level briefing materials
- Develop, maintain, and update the Contractor Program Management Plan, including project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, communications, staffing, governance, escalation, and knowledge management elements
- Manage and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule, including key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, critical path items, schedule variance reporting, and coordination with Agile sprint and Program Increment planning activities
- Support quarterly Program Increment planning governance, including preparation of planning materials, coordination of objectives, tracking of commitments, and reporting against delivery progress
- Establish and maintain disciplined risk and issue management processes, including identification, documentation, prioritization, mitigation tracking, escalation, and closure
- Coordinate across Product Owners, Scrum Masters, architects, developers, testers, training/change management resources, platform administrators, and support teams to ensure delivery activities remain aligned to contract requirements and stakeholder expectations
- Monitor deliverable status, staffing status, compliance training status, background investigation status, and project execution risks to support accurate customer reporting and contract transparency
- Support project kickoff activities, governance meetings, technical reviews, and stakeholder briefings with clear, accurate, and decision-ready information
- Track action items, dependencies, risks, and Government decisions required to maintain delivery momentum and reduce schedule, cost, and performance risk
- Maintain project documentation in approved repositories and ensure project artifacts are current, organized, traceable, and accessible to authorized stakeholders
- Promote a collaborative and accountable delivery environment focused on transparency, responsiveness, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 7+ years of progressive experience managing IT projects, software delivery efforts, SaaS implementations, systems modernization programs, or federal technology initiatives
- Demonstrated experience supporting project governance, schedule management, risk and issue management, deliverable tracking, and stakeholder reporting in a structured delivery environment
- Experience developing or maintaining project management artifacts such as project management plans, integrated schedules, status reports, staffing reports, risk logs, issue logs, action item trackers, and executive briefings
- Practical understanding of Agile delivery environments, including sprint execution, backlog coordination, Program Increment planning, Agile metrics, and coordination between project management and product delivery teams
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams that may include architects, developers, configuration specialists, data/integration resources, testers, training/change management personnel, platform administrators, and support personnel
- Ability to translate technical, schedule, staffing, and delivery information into clear program-level communications for Government and executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with federal IT governance, contract delivery expectations, deliverable management, and customer-facing reporting discipline
- Experience using project and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare polished reports, briefings, meeting summaries, and decision-support materials
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, dependencies, and stakeholder priorities
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, Government customers, and contract leadership in a remote delivery environment
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to identify risks, elevate issues, and drive timely resolution
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- This position requires U.S. citizenship or Greencard
- Exposure to Federal, state, health, financial, or other regulated IT delivery environments is beneficial; Department of Veterans Affairs experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS implementations, workflow modernization, financial management systems, acquisition systems, or business process transformation is valued
- Working knowledge of project governance, Agile delivery, risk management, schedule management, reporting, and stakeholder communications in a structured delivery environment is beneficial
- Exposure to accessibility, cybersecurity, privacy, auditability, or compliance requirements in an IT program environment is a plus
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, ITIL, or similar credentials are preferred, but not required
