Super.com is a tech company focused on maximizing the lives of its customers and team members. The Product Designer II role contributes to the Core App Experiences, owning design work for features and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver polished user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and shipping features within your pod, from concept and user flows through high-fidelity visuals and developer-ready handoff
- Collaborating daily with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define problems, surface trade-offs, and explore solutions
- Bringing multiple reference points into your process before starting work, including goals and metrics, quantitative data, competitive analysis, past research, and stakeholder conversations
- Creating prototypes and flows for unmoderated usability testing, iterating quickly on findings, and participating in moderated research with the support of UX Research
- Proposing and running focused research projects within your domain, guided by UX Research, to validate assumptions and inform design decisions
- Contributing to roadmap and OKR planning by surfacing design opportunities, identifying paths and states that need to be accounted for, and "designing ahead" so larger solutions can be scaled back into shippable iterations
- Applying our design system correctly and following the right process to propose new components when a gap is identified
- Engaging stakeholders through alignment sessions and async communication, following up thoughtfully on feedback and incorporating it into your solutions
- Actively participating in critique, soliciting feedback from your manager and peers, and identifying personal growth opportunities
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of product design experience with a strong portfolio showing high craft and shipped work
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply a design system, including knowing when and how to propose new components
- Proficiency creating prototypes for usability testing and quickly iterating based on findings
- Comfort partnering with product managers, engineers, and researchers within a pod, with active participation in pod ceremonies and strong working relationships
- Ability to balance thorough, longer-term thinking with shippable, iterative solutions
- Solid systems thinking, including the ability to identify paths, states, and edge cases and articulate them clearly to engineering
- Clear communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting your work to cross-functional stakeholders
- Expertise in Figma and modern product design tooling
- Strong visual craft with a sharp eye for typography, hierarchy, and spacing, and the ability to translate design system tokens into production-ready work that feels considered down to the pixel
- Experience designing for consumer-facing mobile applications
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation tools such as Amplitude
- Experience using AI tools in your design workflow to accelerate exploration, content generation, or prototyping
- Active engagement with design critique and a track record of giving and receiving thoughtful feedback
