The Senior Automation Frontline Engineer will be responsible for fielding support calls from customers, troubleshooting automation issues, and assisting in the training of junior team members while working remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Field time-critical support calls related to DeltaV DCS, MES interfaces, and related systems
- Communicate with operations personnel to understand the scope of a problem, and relay necessary troubleshooting actions
- Identify and troubleshoot batch recipe issues within the DeltaV DCS system
- Identify and troubleshoot issues within MES interfaces
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to system hardware, software, network, and instrument bus technologies
- Generate accurate and concise call logs for tracking and change management purposes
- Work independently, remotely
- Work a rotating shift schedule
- Up top 5% travel to NC,SC, VA core R.E. Mason offices for trainings/meetings
- Facilitate the development of junior resources

- B.S. in CHE, EE, ME, Comp. Eng, Comp. Sci., other related disciplines OR Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with the Emerson DeltaV Control System
- MS Office Experience
- Experience with Emerson Legacy Control Systems or PLCs
- ISA S88 experience
- Understanding of regulated or validated systems
- Prior experience working in a relevant manufacturing environment
- Prior experience working with MES such as DeltaV MES (formerly Syncade), or similar
- Windows Server 2016/2019 and network troubleshooting skills
