Data Engineer

h3 Technologies, LLC is seeking a Level 9 Data Engineer to support data warehousing, integration, and cloud migration initiatives within their Application Managed Services group. The role involves designing and delivering ETL architectures, optimizing data pipelines, and modernizing legacy frameworks for high-impact banking projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and deliver robust business solutions leveraging Ab Initio and enterprise data warehousing frameworks
• Lead Ab Initio solution design efforts, incorporating Metaprogramming, Parameter Definition Language (PDL), and generic frameworks
• Architect and execute the conversion of legacy Ab Initio objects into modern, optimized PySpark processes
• Hands-on data migration, cloud integration, and data ingestion from legacy architectures into cloud applications
• Collaborate within an Agile development process by participating in backlog grooming, active coding, structured code reviews, testing, and deployments
• Manage end-to-end testing cycles, including preparing comprehensive test plans, executing test cases, defect logging, and regression testing

Requirements:

• ETL Ab Initio (4+ years of hands-on and solution design experience)
• PySpark (2+ years of process conversion and data transformation experience)
• Shell Scripting (2+ years of pipeline orchestration and automation experience)
• AWS Ecosystem (S3 Buckets and Redshift data warehousing)
• Hadoop Ecosystem components, specifically hands-on Hive operations
• Anti-Money Laundering (AML) data infrastructure or team handling experience
• Legacy-to-Cloud Migration strategies and execution frameworks
