Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Jampp is a programmatic advertising platform focused on accelerating mobile businesses through machine learning and creative optimization. The Lead Machine Learning Engineer will oversee the ML team and be responsible for developing scalable machine learning solutions that enhance the bidding process for mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the ML team, including performance reviews, career development, and setting individual goals
• Define the long-term strategic roadmap for evolving ML solutions in alignment with business needs
• Plan and coordinate the execution of key initiatives, ensuring efficient delivery and providing visibility to stakeholders
• Design, code and deploy highly scalable features (mostly in Python) from a massive machine-learning system that powers our economic module
• Evaluate different statistical models, taking into consideration the trade-off between model improvements vs scalability
• Join a team of data scientists, data engineers and software engineers to design, prototype and build scalable distributed systems that will be used to enhance the machine learning platform we have
• Work in a self-sufficient, autonomous manner, striving through ambiguity

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building software in Python (C++ is a plus!)
• Excellent engineering and strong CS fundamentals. (Hands-on programmer, not a data analyst)
• Experience working with ML technologies and building model training pipelines
• Be comfortable writing well-structured, production-ready code to support your work and have quality results quickly
• Experience designing scalable, distributed systems in the cloud (preferably using AWS)
• Good SQL and database knowledge (Trino SQL is a plus)
• Ability to work both independently and in cooperation with others
• A sense of urgency and ownership over the product
