Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IBM MQ & Confluent Kafka Administrator to join the Consumer Small Business & Wealth (CBWT) Messaging Team. The selected candidate will support Kafka, IIS, and IBM MQ initiatives, including platform administration, SSL/TLS configuration, troubleshooting, and production support activities.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, administer, and upgrade IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka environments.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS configurations for Kafka and MQ platforms.
• Manage and support IBM MQ queue managers, clusters, channels, and messaging infrastructure.
• Provide production and test environment support, ensuring platform stability and performance.
• Monitor messaging platforms using observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot messaging, connectivity, security, and performance-related issues.
• Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and security teams on messaging solutions and enhancements.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of IBM MQ Administration experience.
• 3+ years of Confluent Kafka Administration experience.
• Strong experience with IBM MQ clustering.
• Hands-on experience with MQ SSL/TLS certificates and security configurations.
• Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka.
• Knowledge of IIS and messaging platform integrations.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
