Role: Java Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract
 

Job Description:

Role Summary:
Leads technical operations and enhancements for distributed Java-based claims applications (e.g., portals, API layers, claims intake engines).

Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement backend solutions using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot for distributed claims platforms.
• Lead triage and resolution for critical application outages, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.
• Design and maintain APIs facilitating communication between modern web applications and legacy claims systems.
• Mentor Java developers and enforce best practices in secure coding and microservices architecture.

Required Skills:
• 5-9 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of health insurance domains, including provider portals and member eligibility systems.
