IDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong experience building enterprise applications within HR-related environments. This role involves developing and enhancing Java-based applications, APIs, and microservices that support severance business processes, rules, and workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications
- Build and enhance Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs
- Develop and optimize database queries and integrations across PostgreSQL and SQL Server environments
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand severance-related requirements and implement solutions
- Support application enhancements, production issues, and ongoing maintenance activities
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including HR, business analysts, and product owners
Requirements:
- 6–9+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- Strong experience with Java 17
- Advanced experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs
- Strong SQL development skills
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong understanding of application design, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Experience with ReactJS for front-end development
- Experience with Qlik Sense/QlikView reporting and analytics
- Exposure to HR technology platforms and integrations
- Experience supporting severance programs, workforce transitions, benefits administration, or related HR business processes
- HR domain experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with severance business plans, policies, rules, and workflows is highly desired
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions supporting HR operations
