They are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with expertise in Java to develop and maintain test automation frameworks, ensuring quality in distributed backend systems and contributing to the release quality of a data platform for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks in Java, covering functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Define and implement test strategies that reflect the failure modes of distributed backend systems
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipeline test stages
- Champion quality engineering practices across the team
- Monitor and report on test coverage and release confidence metrics
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in IT roles
- 3+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in quality or test engineering
- Solid experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG, including integration and E2E test design
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how test automation integrates into release workflows
- Experience with defect diagnosis and regression testing
- Understanding of distributed systems and the challenges they introduce for test design
- Advanced proficiency in English
