Product Software Engineer Intern

LuMATH is seeking a Product Software Engineer Intern to assist in building Nova, their next-generation intelligence architecture. The intern will work on various aspects of software development, including Python coding, user-facing tools, and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Python development
• User-facing tools and workflows
• Backend logic
• APIs and integrations
• Testing and debugging
• Unit test creation
• Code cleanup and organization
• AI-assisted coding workflows
• Nova system components
• Memory and reasoning systems
• Documentation
• Automation
• Software architecture
• Working with an AI coding agent to build and test code

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of Python experience
• Created at least one working software project, tool, app, automation, script, prototype, or system that did not previously exist
• Ability to write understandable Python code
• Interest in AI systems, software products, intelligent tools, automation, or agent-based development
• Willingness to learn quickly and work carefully
• Ability to stay involved for approximately 5 months
• Has already built something real
• Likes difficult problems
• Can think independently
• Enjoys building useful tools
• Wants to work with AI coding agents
• Is excited by the idea of helping build a new type of intelligence system
• Can handle early-stage startup work where the path is not always obvious
