Data Engineer - Machine Learning/AI

Progressive Technologies, Inc is dedicated to helping employees move forward in their careers. They are seeking an intermediate data engineer to work on the Customer Relationship Management Emerging Technology team, focusing on deploying and maintaining innovative solutions in AI/ML and data engineering to enhance customer experience services.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and maintain innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies to address complex business challenges within Customer Experience Services
• Develop robust and scalable solutions to deploy and operationalize machine learning
• Build necessary data pipelines to support data science models
• Enable efficient access to multiple data sources
• Support packaging and deploy new or updated models to production
• Work with large language models to develop generative and agentic AI applications
• Research the latest technology advancements in data and AI to share with the organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum of one year of work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications
• In lieu of degree, minimum of two years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted
• Cloud experience with preferably AWS (EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, etc.) and Openshift
• Experience with Linux, Python, Git, Terraform, SQL, building APIs (Flask), containers (Docker)
• Experience understanding business goals and utilizing AI/ML models to help achieve those goals
• Ability to develop and scale web applications / APIs using open source tools
• Self-learner with ability to scope and recommend new tools (patterns, cloud services, etc.) as required by projects
