Title: ADMS Operations Readiness Lead
Location: Pennsylvania (Remote with periodic travel)
Client is seeking an experienced ADMS Operations Readiness Lead to support the Kentucky ADMS go-live targeted for August 2026. This role is responsible for driving operational readiness by partnering with project, vendor, and support teams to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to steady-state support. The ideal candidate will lead knowledge transfer, develop operational documentation and runbooks, identify readiness gaps, and help establish a support model that enables long-term independence after go-live.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge Transfer and Operational Enablement
- Embed with project teams (internal, vendor, and integrators)
- Participate in defect triage, testing, and bug fix deployments
- Capture system workflows, known issues, and operational processes
- Translate project knowledge into support-ready procedures
Documentation and Runbook Development
Develop and maintain:
- Operational runbooks (startup, shutdown, recovery, failover)
- Support playbooks (incident triage, escalation paths, troubleshooting)
- System documentation (architecture, integrations, dependencies)
Documentation must enable independent support without project reliance.
Operational Readiness Assessment and Gap Closure
- Assess readiness for Day 1 and steady-state operations
- Identify gaps in monitoring, alerting, documentation, and ownership
- Maintain a prioritized gap log with recommendations and status
Production Support Readiness
- Support defect lifecycle (tracking, coordination, validation)
- Work with internal teams, business users, and vendor (GE Vernova)
- Ensure fixes are documented and root causes understood
Cross-Functional and Vendor Collaboration
- Engage with vendor for issue resolution, support cases, and releases
- Translate vendor responses into actionable internal steps
- Ensure knowledge is retained within PPL for post-go-live support
Go-Live and Stabilization Support
- Provide support coverage for critical issues, incidents, and call-outs as needed, particularly during:
o Go-live window
o Post-go-live stabilization period
- Participate in incident response and triage for high-priority issues
- Assist in rapid troubleshooting, coordination, and escalation
- Ensure incidents are captured and incorporated into support documentation

Comparative Analysis and Continuous Improvement
- Perform a structured analysis comparing Pennsylvania ADMS instance vs. Kentucky ADMS implementation, including:
o System configuration and architecture differences
o Operational workflows and support models
o Integration points and dependencies
o Monitoring, alerting, and tooling differences
- Identify meaningful differences that impact operations, support, and reliability
- Provide recommendations for standardization and best practices, leveraging proven approaches and lessons learned from prior ADMS implementations and utility experience
- Deliver findings in a documented report and walkthrough session with leadership and support teams

Transition and Handover
Deliver a structured handoff to Client support teams, including:
- Complete documentation and runbooks
- Known issues and workaround documentation
- Gap log with ownership
- Knowledge transfer sessions (live and/or recorded)
- Support readiness validation
Expected Deliverables

- Architecture and integration documentation
- Gap assessment and tracking log
- Defect tracking support artifacts
- PA vs. KY ADMS comparative analysis report with industry-informed recommendations
- Final transition package and handoff materials
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience supporting ADMS or similar utility operations platforms
- Proven background in operational readiness, knowledge transfer, and support transition
- Experience developing runbooks, support playbooks, and technical/operational documentation
- Ability to assess readiness gaps and drive closure across teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills across business, IT, and vendor teams
- Experience in incident support, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization
Success Criteria
- Support team can independently operate ADMS post go-live
- Documentation is complete, accurate, and validated
- Defects are effectively managed and resolved
- Critical issues are responded to promptly and effectively
- Clear understanding of PA vs KY differences with actionable, industry-informed recommendations
- Transition completed with minimal operational risk
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GE ADMS / GE Vernova systems
- Utility operations / control room support experience
- Prior experience supporting multiple ADMS implementations or utilities
- Strong documentation and operational readiness background
