Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Computational Electrical Engineer to design graduate-level computational problems focused on RF and circuit simulation. The role involves developing tasks related to electrical engineering and signal analysis while working independently in a flexible remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design original computational problems requiring advanced use of RF and circuit simulation tools such as scikit-rf, ngspice, or comparable platforms
- Develop tasks involving S-parameter analysis, transmission-line modeling, frequency response characterization, and circuit operating point analysis
- Construct problems that require recovering circuit parameters from measurement data and interpreting simulation outputs
- Demonstrate strong Python programming skills for building simulation setups, oracle functions, and validation pipelines
- Apply hands-on expertise with electrical engineering tools through research, publications, or professional work
- Work independently in Linux-based environments and remote compute sandboxes while iterating on task design using calibration feedback
- Experience with benchmark design, reproducible computational workflows, or multiple RF/electronics simulation tools is preferred
