InfoLabs inc is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications and IT projects. This role involves serving as a liaison between business owners and the development team, as well as facilitating JAD sessions and translating business requirements into functional specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison between business owners, project/contract managers, and the development team
- Coordinate and facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Gather and translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications
- Translate functional specifications into technical specifications the development team can build from
- Break requirements into use cases / user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Turn information from meetings and written materials into mock-ups, process models, and process flow models (e.g., Microsoft Visio)
- Collaborate with QA teams, coordinate UAT schedules, run UAT sessions, and guide business testers through the workflows
- Author test scenarios and perform manual testing; design, write, and execute automation test scripts to validate functionality and find defects
- Create technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and data dictionaries
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of IT business/industry experience
- 7+ years performing business analysis on IT projects
- 7+ years with Agile software development methodologies
- 7+ years of requirements gathering
- 7+ years with Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- 7+ years conducting JAD sessions with client stakeholders and subject matter experts
- 7+ years translating functional specifications into technical specifications
- 7+ years translating business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria
- 7+ years creating mock-ups, process models, and process flow models from meetings and written materials
- 7+ years creating technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- 7+ years collaborating with QA teams, coordinating and conducting UAT, and guiding business testers
- 7+ years with process modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio
- 5+ years of manual testing (authoring test scenarios and validating against business requirements)
- 5+ years of automation testing (designing, writing, and executing automation test scripts)
- Strong verbal, written, and technical writing skills; strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Experience deriving business process and data requirements from analyzing process and systems documentation, and creating data dictionaries
- Experience on government or public-sector IT projects
