Define and own the product roadmap for core areas of the Energy Utility Platform — market access, flexibility marketing, procurement, and the optimization layer that connects devices to markets — with a focus on delivery and measurable outcomes
Hands-on in execution: writing specifications, running discovery sprints, prioritizing backlogs, and releasing engineering — this is not a strategy-only role
Shape the energy products of the future: direct marketing, expanded flexibility participation, and new forms of market access for customers, while addressing the regulatory and infrastructure challenges that make this possible
Work closely with Energy Operations (domain experts, regulatory contexts) and engineering to ensure product decisions are grounded in market reality
Navigate complex regulatory environments (German energy market, MaKo, grid tariff structures, billing) and translate them into actionable product requirements
Balance product thinking with the discipline to solve difficult infrastructure problems — you need both
Report to the Director, Product Heartbeat AI and contribute to portfolio strategy decisions
Requirements
3+ years of product management experience with a similar focus on energy, utilities, or regulated platforms/infrastructure products
Proven track record of launching complex features end-to-end with demonstrable results
Solid understanding of energy markets, tariff structures, energy trading, or energy retail operations — this is a requirement, not a nice-to-have
Experience leading platform or product development in regulated environments — coordinating across engineering teams and navigating regulatory constraints
Strong analytical skills: comfortable making decisions based on data and product metrics
Good stakeholder communication: able to confidently navigate conversations with engineering, commercial, and operations teams
Exceptional English communication skills; German is a strong advantage (many stakeholders speak German)
Willing to live in Germany or relocate — this role requires presence in the German energy market context
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment where ambiguity is the norm
Optional: experience in energy markets, flexibility marketing, or balancing markets (TSO/DSO interaction, planning, balancing pool management)
