The role involves end-to-end project execution, working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-performance technical solutions that meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead paper machine projects from contract handover through final acceptance
- Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, and budgets
- Coordinate in-house and outsourced engineering teams to ensure timely delivery
- Identify, analyze, and proactively mitigate technical and commercial project risks
- Monitor project execution to ensure excellence in:
- Technical solutions
- Cost control
- Resource efficiency
- Health, safety, and environmental standards
- Manage project documentation, reporting, and KPI tracking
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Apply and continuously improve project management processes and best practices
- Versatile to sell multiple vacuum brands within Gardner Denver/Nash portfolio
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Paper Science or related paper machine experience
- 5+ years of experience in paper machine project management or related roles
- Proven background in troubleshooting and executing paper machine projects
- Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across cultures and managing change
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within defined scope, budget, and timeline
- Versatile to sell multiple vacuum brands within Gardner Denver/Nash portfolio
- Remote-based position, preferably located near a major airport
- Ability to travel by air and ground and work effectively across multiple regions
