The University of Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Accountant Financial Analyst Senior to support groundbreaking clinical research across the institution. This role involves managing financial projects, developing budgets, providing training, and negotiating with clinical trial sponsors.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the financial project manager for assigned projects by providing proactive research project budget development and start up support
- Ensures study budgets developed include necessary/correct components such as indirect, pass-through, and one-time costs
- Provides training and education as needed to departments and CGS on clinical trial post award management
- Negotiates directly with clinical trial sponsors; performs reviews and prepares responses to sponsor budget offers and counteroffers
- Performs data entry of final budget terms into Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience OR equivalent
- High School diploma or GED and eight (8) years of experience
- Associate's degree and six (6) years of experience
- Master's degree and two (2) years of experience
- Doctorate degree and no experience
- Preferred education: Accounting degree
- Preferred experience: CPA
