The Lead IT Project Manager is responsible for leading integration and growth programs, ensuring secure and compliant integration of practices into the enterprise environment while minimizing disruption to operations and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT integration programs, including diligence, Day 1 readiness, and post-close execution
- Own execution across infrastructure and network integration (connectivity, data center/cloud, EUC, security dependencies)
- Drive data migration strategy and execution, including patient, provider, and operational data across systems
- Lead integration of clinical platforms, including EMR/EHR and Practice Management Systems (PMS), ensuring business and clinical continuity
- Develop and manage integrated program plans, including schedule, budget, dependencies, risks, and milestones
- Establish and govern program execution, including RAID management, dependency tracking, and escalation processes
- Partner with architecture and engineering teams to ensure alignment to enterprise standards and integration frameworks
- Provide executive-level reporting on integration status, risks, financials, and value realization
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity, infrastructure transitions, and clinical disruption
- Coordinate across internal teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners to ensure seamless execution
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT project or program management
- Proven experience leading M&A technology integrations (due diligence through integration execution)
- Strong technical knowledge of: Infrastructure platforms (cloud, data center, end-user computing), Network architecture (LAN/WAN, connectivity, security), Data migration and system integration methodologies
- Hands-on experience with EMR and Practice Management Systems (PMS) in a healthcare or clinical environment
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-workstream programs
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience in healthcare delivery environments (ambulatory, specialty care, or provider networks)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, data privacy, audit/compliance standards)
- Experience with enterprise tools (ServiceNow, Planview, LeanIX, etc.)
