Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Hampton North is partnering with a Series C AI-powered intelligence platform used by public and private sector agencies to investigate and disrupt financial crime globally. They are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to drive security maturity across GCP, standardize security through automation, and serve as the internal cloud security SME.

Responsibilities:

• Driving security maturity across GCP — IAM, least-privilege enforcement, cloud-native controls
• Leveraging IaC (Terraform) and automation to standardize security across all environments
• Serving as the internal cloud security SME, advising engineering, product, and leadership on risk
• Supporting external audits and ensuring cloud compliance expectations are met
• Identifying and communicating cloud vulnerabilities with business-aligned mitigation options

Requirements:

• Expert-level GCP knowledge — IAM, firewalls, cloud-native security architecture
• Experience with Terraform and cloud application platforms (e.g. Heroku)
• Background supporting security audits and vulnerability assessments in cloud environments
• Strong communicator — able to translate technical risk to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable operating with high ownership and autonomy in a fast-moving environment
