Java Full-Stack Developer

This is a Full-Time (On-Site) Position in Mechanicsburg, PA supporting the S&L CMS/HHS Government Programs

Number of Available Positions: 8

Salary Target: $60K-$80K/YR (Salary is flexible based on the relevant years of professional experience and background related to the position

Job Description:

Should be Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and reliable. 6+ years of full stack software -Required Skills: IE, Java, React, SpringBoot, JavaScript, Oracle, Domain Knowledge of SNAP, TANF, MA

SNAP – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program / food stamps
TANF – Temporary Assistance for Needy Families / cash assistance
MA – Medical Assistance, usually Medicaid in Pennsylvania/state HHS context
IE / Integrated Eligibility – a platform that lets citizens apply for multiple benefit programs through one system and lets caseworkers determine eligibility across those programs.

Must have

• 6+ years of Java/full-stack development 
• Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs 
• React and JavaScript front end 
• Oracle database experience 
• Experience leading design/implementation of complex systems 
• Integrated Eligibility experience 
• SNAP, TANF, Medicaid/MA domain knowledge 
• Onsite availability in Mechanicsburg, PA

Strong plus

• State HHS, DHS, DHHS, Medicaid, public assistance, welfare eligibility systems 
• Experience with systems like Conduent, Gainwell, IBM/Kyndryl, Infosys, Cognizant, Maximus, Cúram, eCIS, COMPASS, MMIS-adjacent systems, or state eligibility portals 
• Case management, eligibility rules, benefit determination, notices, batch processing, interfaces, and data exchange experience 
• Prior Pennsylvania DHS or COMPASS exposure would be excellent
