Shape Construction is a company focused on digitizing the construction industry by developing software that enhances project delivery. As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you will generate high-quality opportunities, refine outreach strategies, and collaborate with various teams to effectively communicate the value of Shape's offerings to potential clients.
Responsibilities:
- Open doors: You will proactively identify and reach out to construction teams, introducing them to Shape and setting up intro calls that help them understand how our product can transform their project delivery performance. You must be very comfortable and confident doing cold calls - indeed you must love it!
- Refine our outreach strategy: Using data and insights, you'll continuously improve our approach, experimenting with messaging, channels, and engagement tactics to maximize impact
- Collaborate with the team: You'll work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts, share feedback, and ensure we're reaching the right people in the right way
- Grow yourself and others: We're big on learning and development. You'll have the opportunity to sharpen your sales skills, share best practices, and contribute to building a world-class growth function
- Shape how we scale: Bring your experience building outreach processes and systems to help us refine our SDR engine as we expand our consulting service lines and client base
Requirements:
- Experience in B2B sales, ideally in SaaS or construction tech
- Comfortable and confident doing cold calls
- Ability to engage decision-makers and guide them through a sales process
- Confident and engaging communicator
- Ability to make complex ideas simple and compelling
- Comfortable talking to both hands-on construction teams and senior business leaders
- Ability to build relationships through a humanistic, empathetic approach
- Ownership and resilience in the face of rejection
- Ability to experiment with new ways to connect and add value
- Ability to read between the lines and spot opportunities
- Ability to adapt approach based on what's working
- Experience with full-cycle/360 sales exposure
- Master in the art of influencing and persuasion with an extensive network in the construction and/or tech start-up industries
- Early leadership or people management exposure - experience coaching or mentoring others
