Furbish is a company that specializes in stormwater management and eco-friendly building solutions. They are seeking a Sales & Business Development Professional responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities for green roof systems and related services, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key members of the project team, including owners, owner representatives, architects, construction managers, consultants, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients and prospects to gain project specifications and increase revenue
- Working with and assisting department managers in closing projects
- Read and interpret construction documents; assist with the development of project specific detail drawings; analyze competitors’ specifications and determine the best alternative solutions
- Utilize strong influencing and sales skills to drive the placement of Furbish systems in specifications
- Coordinate and present Furbish systems to architects, consultants, and contractors
- Actively engage in industry associations, including but not limited to AIA, BOMA, and USGBC
- Log activities, prospects, projects, tasks, and track the status of projects in CRM platform
- Create and execute territory-specific business development plans using CRM and related tools
- Implement and maintain key customer plans including annual territory plans and weekly game plans
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years' experience in business development, sales, or architectural sales role, preferably promoting sustainable solutions in the green roofing industry
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
- Strong track record of generating new business and exceeding revenue targets
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Organizational, time management, project management, and problem-solving abilities
