BAE Systems is an international defense, aerospace, and security company that delivers a full range of products and services. They are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to handle the execution of their supplier audit program and manage the corrective action process, ensuring the maintenance of quality standards through ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 practices.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the execution of supplier audit program and manage the corrective action process
- Maintain BAE Systems' quality standards through the application of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 auditing practices
- Responsible for the full audit cycle from scheduling and on site verification to the final closure of corrective actions
- Identify and mitigate supplier risks to support the goal of a Zero Defect supply chain
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing) or Quality Management and two (2) years of related experience
- This is a full-time remote position. Must be able to support travel of up to 50% across the continental United States
- Proven experience executing audits in a regulated aerospace or defense environment
- QMS Auditor Certification in ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 standards
- Proficiency in process auditing and the ability to identify systemic gaps in supplier workflows
- Ability to write professional, technical audit reports with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organizational skills to manage a complex audit schedule and track multiple corrective actions simultaneously
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and the ability to verify the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Disciplined time management and reporting habits
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with APQP and PPAP processes
- Knowledge of PFMEA and Control Plans
- Proficiency in Oracle or TipQA
