Cygnus Professionals Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Business Analyst to support their distribution modernization initiative. The role involves mapping existing warehouse workflows, gathering technical requirements, and ensuring the new Manhattan Active Warehouse Management system aligns with operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Process Mapping & Gap Analysis: Document existing operational workflows across inbound, inventory control, and outbound processes. Conduct detailed gap analyses to translate these workflows into MAWM capabilities
- Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops with warehouse supervisors, operators, and IT partners to elicit, analyze, and document clear, detailed business and functional requirements
- MAWM Configuration Support: Collaborate closely with systems integrators and Manhattan Associates consultants to ensure the MAWM platform configuration matches approved business specifications
- Testing & Validation: Author comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, coordinate testing execution with DC staff, and triage/validate system defects during the testing cycles
- Change Management & Training: Assist in creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and training documentation to help floor staff and leadership smoothly transition to the new MAWM platform
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations, upgrades, or migrations
- Past experience working with Manhattan Associates software is highly preferred, with specific exposure to Manhattan Active® WMS (MAWM) or traditional WMOS being a significant plus
- Deep understanding of core distribution center operations, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and slotting
- Strong capability in data mapping (such as inventory balances and item masters) and a solid understanding of how a WMS integrates with host ERPs and host systems
- Ability to take complex, fast-moving physical warehouse processes and break them down into highly structured, logical technical requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to speak the language of a forklift operator on the warehouse floor just as effectively as an IT developer
- Exceptional thoroughness when documenting edge cases, exception workflows, and testing scenarios to ensure a seamless, zero-defect go-live
