Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2 to support and enhance critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing mainframe applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient system performance.
Required Skills
- Expert-level experience with COBOL
- Expert-level experience with JCL
- Expert-level experience with DB2
- Strong experience with Mainframe application development and support
- Strong knowledge of batch processing and job scheduling concepts
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of IMS DB
- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools
- Familiarity with SAS
- Experience with system performance tuning and optimization
- Exposure to legacy system modernization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in Mainframe Development
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
