The Home Depot is a leading home improvement retailer, and they are seeking a Senior Analyst in S/4 Inventory Process Engineering. This role involves supporting the design and implementation of SAP S/4 inventory accounting processes, collaborating with various teams to ensure financial accuracy and drive change management within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- 75% Operational Duties: Partners with Product, IT and Business teams to understand new initiatives, builds out current and to-be accounting and system process maps to identify financial exposure points, supports leadership while defining financial requirements, and acts as the primary point of contact for defining test cases and performing UAT
- 10% Collaboration: Partners with IT/Product and Business teams to learn about changes and support testing, production troubleshooting, and resolution efforts
- 10% Project Support: Partners with the Manager and/or the Lead Analyst to work through continuous improvement efforts and special projects
- 5% Skill Building & Professional Development: Seeks further knowledge on key developments and trends within finance (e.g., analytics, intelligent automation, robotics)
Requirements:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field of study
- 2 years of work experience
- Progress toward CPA or solid foundational understanding of GAAP and core accounting logic
- Experience partnering across cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the curiosity to identify issues and the ability to assess risks
- SAP S/4HANA experience preferred
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of work experience
