Rhythm Innovations is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Development Representative to sell and service solutions for clients in the insurance and transportation industries. This role focuses on building long-term client relationships and supporting the sales process from lead generation through onboarding and account support.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing partners and customers
- Prospect new clients (owner-operators, small fleets, logistics companies) through networking, referrals, and outbound sales
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing trucking fleet clients
- Educate clients on risk management strategies
- Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and customer communications
- Conduct product and service demonstrations for prospects and clients
- Support senior sales team members in achieving revenue and growth objectives
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within CRM systems
- Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a positive customer experience
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and company offerings
- Meet or exceed sales and revenue goals set by the agency company
- Provide ongoing service including renewals, endorsements, and account updates
Requirements:
- Must be located in Ft Lauderdale/Miami area
- 2 to 3+ years of sales, SaaS, or business development experience
- 1–3+ years of experience in freight brokerage or commercial auto or transportation insurance is a must
- Excellent communication, sales, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build relationships and manage multiple accounts
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in a sales environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with FMCSA/DOT regulations
- Understanding of commercial auto underwriting
- Experience with telematics, ELD, dashcam, or fleet safety solutions
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Experience selling through channel partners or referral partners is preferred
