Westinghouse Electric Co is seeking a Lead Customer Quality Engineer (Nuclear) to join their innovative team focused on clean energy solutions. In this role, you will lead quality assurance tasks and manage teams to ensure nuclear fuel products meet quality and technical requirements, coordinating efforts across multiple manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the customer nonconformance management
- Guide communication between the Fuel Department Manufacturing sites (5 sites) to identify any potential need for quality and technical coordination when a new customer nonconformance matter occurs
- Lead, main coordination and management of nonconformance matters for fuel projects that have an impact on multiple Westinghouse sites
- Share best practices and lessons learned between Global Manufacturing sites which include specifics on abnormal situations, compilation of reports and management of corrective and preventive actions
- Operate as accountable lead on the implementation of customer requirements into product and process documentation which concern product quality
Requirements:
- We require a Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or technical area
- We require 5+ years manufacturing quality experience
- Working knowledge and application involve US NRC Regulations and European Standards. These include 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21. Additionally, we apply national agreement standards of quality assurance, such as ISO-19443, ASME NQA-1, ESPN, RCC-C, ISO 9001, ISO 9712, ISO 90003, and their Appendices. Furthermore, we use ANSI N45.2 and its daughter standards, and IEEE Standards. Familiarity with NDE techniques and applicable practices such as SNT-TC-1A, ESPN / RCC
- Engineering knowledge and is recognized as a subject matter expert in one or more engineering or manufacturing specialties and is capable to lead engineering efforts on a project at the discipline level
- Experience in engineering, procurement and operations in the nuclear industry
