Cincinnati Children's is a leading children's hospital recognized for its commitment to improving children's health. They are seeking an entry-level Business Systems Analyst I to gather and organize business data, support system adoption, and assist in the development of training materials and business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Has conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within their discipline. Follows the parameters of defined policies, procedures, and practices with guidance. Assists in executing the testing/quality assurance needs of the enterprise business suite. Document testing outcomes. Develops understanding of business theories, concepts, principles and techniques of the business areas to identify opportunities for process improvement. Assists with the development of business process designs, user guides and training materials to support system adoption. Addresses, production support, application configuration and enhancements with direction from senior level team members as needed
- Conceptual understanding of how to Implement and maintain low to moderate business processes within the enterprise business application suite. Works with senior team members on understanding validation processes. Develop knowledge of application and reporting tools with the ability to assist senior team members. Conceptual knowledge of project management methodologies and application development lifecycle. Participate in creating and maintaining documentation in support of enterprise business applications
- Provide support and resolution assistance for production and process issues. Seeks guidance to troubleshoot and decipher error messages. Assists with the appropriate Change Control methods to implement system solutions. Support departmental efforts to improve customer satisfaction. Develop a familiarity of existing business processes to avoid potential issues as well as gathering information for future process improvement opportunities. Exercise good judgement and follow appropriate escalation procedures in accordance with information technology service level agreements
- Provides end-user support. Monitor SLA's and escalates as needed. Adhere to and promote continual adoption of change management policies and procedures. Model outstanding customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up with customers
- Develop knowledge and professional skills through cross-training, literature and attendance at department meetings and vendor education. Develop and maintain positive relationships. Works collaboratively with team members and cross functional partners to align standards, share knowledge, and ensure consistency across deliverables. Demonstrates accountability to both individual work and overall team outcomes, supporting a cohesive and effective team environment. Participate in instructional seminars. Continued development on Cincinnati Children's computer-based systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0+ years of experience in a related job discipline
- Experience developing training materials, job aids, or user documentation to support business processes or system implementations
- Familiarity with instructional design principles or adult learning concepts
- Experience translating technical processes into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Exposure to enterprise systems such as HRIS, ERP, or workforce management tools (e.g., UKG, Kronos)
- Experience supporting system implementations, testing (UAT), or go-live readiness activities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills
