Smith is a digital transformation agency that specializes in creating experiential commerce solutions for B2B and B2C brands. They are looking for a talented Project Manager to oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and budget adherence while coordinating team efforts and managing client communications.
Responsibilities:
- You will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget parameters, defining the project’s objectives and overseeing quality control throughout the project lifecycle
- Understanding the project deliverables and scope in the Statement of Work
- Project scoping, estimating, planning
- Develop, manage, and document (in the agreed format) all production schedules, milestones, projections, estimates, and budgets for customer-assigned projects
- Client and client stakeholder management & acceptance
- Scope, schedule and change management
- Responsibility for project budget and financial success metrics
- Serving as the customer’s first point of contact to manage expectations and communications, ensure that the customer is informed on the project status, and obtain customer approval and signoff on all major deliverables
- Manage the project team, including assigning individual project tasks, holding regular meetings to monitor progress, and ensuring all timesheets are completed on time
- Partnership with direct manager and Account Director on project escalations
- Status reporting (internal/external)
- Resource forecasting
- Risk mitigation
- Post-project reviews
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years' experience as a project manager, enterprise commerce experience preferred either within an agency, systems integration consultancy or within an online/digital department of an established B2B or B2C company
- Experience with project management principles, processes, tools, and techniques
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall software development environments
- Experience working in a fast-paced organization with competing project demands and running multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with issue and bug management systems such as the Atlassian suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and/or Microsoft Visual Studio (TFS)
- Experience working on project phases from strategy, user experience, design, build, test and deployment
- Experience working with nearshore / offshore teams
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
- Expertise in utilizing conflict resolution skills to lead staff and resolve issues with customers to ensure project goals and contractual agreements are met and customer requirements are fulfilled
- The prudence to leverage project governance and escalation processes as needed to meet project KPIs
- Strong problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Smartsheets and Microsoft Project
- Well-spoken and customer-facing, you have the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
