Influx Search is partnered with a global leader in water treatment solutions, known for delivering high-performance filtration systems and expanding into advanced process technologies. The Applications/Process Engineer will play a central role in supporting pre-sales, system design, and early-stage project development across various water treatment applications, acting as a technical bridge between internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing RFQs/RFPs and developing compliant, optimised technical solutions for water and wastewater applications
- Designing treatment processes, including filtration, RO, UF, and chemical dosing systems
- Producing process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, technical proposals and cost estimates
- Supporting the sales team and channel partners with technical expertise throughout the pre-sales cycle
- Collaborating with engineering, project management and operations teams to ensure successful solution delivery
- Providing technical input during project execution, including commissioning support and documentation
- Engaging with customers, distributors and engineering firms to develop effective and commercially viable solutions
- Contributing to continuous improvement of design tools, templates and technical standards
Requirements:
- 3–5 years' experience in water or wastewater treatment, with exposure to both filtration and process technologies
- Strong knowledge of treatment processes including membrane systems (RO, UF), biological treatment and chemical dosing
- Experience supporting technical sales, proposals, or pre-sales engineering activities
- Ability to design systems, perform calculations, and develop technical documentation to a high standard
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both internally and with external stakeholders
- A degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or similar discipline)
- An adaptable, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to travel to Charlotte-area HQ once a month
