Stockton Mortgage is seeking a Product Manager to support various activities related to the product management function. The role involves shaping the overall product strategy, development, and implementation of new products while acting as a liaison between sales and operations to ensure smooth product rollouts.
Responsibilities:
- Across all channels, act as a liaison between sales and operations, ensuring that products are rolled out in an orderly fashion with slim to no negative downstream impacts
- Build relationships within sales management, including executives, branch managers, loan officers, and operational personnel to fully understand internal structure and process flows
- Foster, nurture, and develop new and existing investor relationships to bring new products to market on a timely basis
- Identify and anticipate market trends, understanding various geographical needs. Recommend strategic opportunities for new products accordingly
- Negotiate top-tier pricing, products, and pilot programs with the agencies and various private investors to help provide a competitive advantage
- Participate in new hire orientation to effectively train new members of the salesforce on Stockton’s extensive product menu
- Identify training needs, create training materials, and facilitate training of all operations and sales staff for all lines of business
- Develop Stockton’s very own Non-QM suite of products utilizing a combination of internal credit philosophies and secondary market parameters
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organization skills and planning skills
- Able to identify and resolve problems and issues quickly, creatively and decisively. Able to think logically to analyze situations and make sound decisions. Ability to work in a team environment, presenting a professional image
- Proficient in using basic computer software and the internet, specifically Microsoft Office, Encompass loan origination system, and navigating investors' online portals
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a retail and/or wholesale mortgage environment. Familiarity with investor guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM products)
