Director of Finance

VIE Technologies is a rapidly growing AI company focused on transforming how utilities and industrial companies manage critical electrical infrastructure. They are seeking a Director of Finance to build and lead the finance function, including accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting, while establishing the necessary systems and processes for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Maintain accurate U.S. GAAP financial statements and reporting
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Coordinate with external accounting, tax, and audit firms
• Lead the company's annual audit process from planning through completion
• Develop scalable financial controls, policies, and operating procedures
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Build and maintain company operating models, forecasts, and budgets
• Develop financial and operational KPIs that drive decision-making
• Analyze business performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support pricing, investment, hiring, and growth decisions
• Partner with leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives
• Prepare monthly investor reporting packages
• Develop quarterly board presentations and supporting analyses
• Participate in board meetings and leadership reviews
• Support financing activities, due diligence requests, and investor communications
• Implement and improve finance systems, processes, and reporting tools
• Build a finance organization capable of supporting future growth
• Establish best practices that improve visibility, predictability, and operational discipline
