AssetWatch® serves global manufacturers by powering manufacturing uptime through the delivery of an unparalleled condition monitoring experience. The Condition Monitoring Application Engineer will support the sales process by providing technical expertise, assisting in engineering solutions for customers, and analyzing data to ensure effective maintenance practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support solutions architects in the sales process as the subject matter expert in condition monitoring
- Establish credibility with customers to encourage higher opportunity-to-trial conversion rates
- Ensure high-quality asset lists to enable higher trial-to-subscription rates
- Assist in engineering a solution that best fits the needs of the customer
- Track the success of the asset review call and provide recommendations to enhance the same
- Track and suggest ways to improve the average monitoring point/trial
- Acquire extensive expertise in AssetWatch products, encompassing technical aspects, to effectively secure trials that incorporate a diverse range of AssetWatch offerings
- Analyze vibration and temperature data at client sites, customizing data processing to the client's asset and determining if maintenance is needed
- Attend tradeshows to assist the sales team with technical knowledge and lead capture
- Evaluate machinery health and condition through the detailed analysis of vibration data
- Expand AssetWatch's expertise in machine condition monitoring, beyond vibration analysis, to include other condition-monitoring technologies
- Work closely with the product development team to create high-value hardware and software solutions and expanded product offerings
- Provide high-quality, actionable information to clients (e.g., setting appropriate alarm levels with analytical tools, to alert customers of pending failures)
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and ability to discover pain points for the customer and drive towards a solution
- 3+ years of relevant experience with vibration data collection and analysis
- Strong mechanical background with industrial equipment — centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc
- Proficient in developing optimum corrective actions based on findings of acquired field vibration analysis data, observations, and discussions with key plant personnel
- Desire to work in a 'startup' environment and have a 'startup' mentality
- Customer-focused — desire and knowledge to understand customer needs; provide personalized, professional service, accurate information, and continuous communication
- Demonstrate integrity — behave ethically, act fairly, and take responsibility for accomplishing work
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Ability to commit to travel up to 50% for 2–3 days at a time
- Valid Vibration Category II, MLA/MLT Certifications preferred
- Sales or account management experience is a plus but not required
