Open Ingress is building foundational infrastructure for AI agents to interact with the modern web. The Software Engineer will collaborate with customers to audit user flows, diagnose agent failures, and develop technical solutions to enhance product offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Technical Discovery: Analyze public pages, authenticated dashboards, onboarding funnels, checkout flows, and customer support surfaces
- Diagnose Agent Failures: Utilize browser automation, accessibility-tree inspection, performance traces, screenshots, and telemetry to pinpoint exactly why and where an agent breaks
- Build Technical Solutions: Develop customer-specific prototypes, remediation strategies, custom integrations, and repeatable audit frameworks
- Drive Product Evolution: Transform field insights into concrete product requirements, internal tools, standard benchmark cases, and data-backed recommendations
Requirements:
- Strong background spanning frontend architecture, APIs, browser automation, web accessibility (a11y), or developer tooling
- Ability to partner closely with client engineering and product teams to navigate ambiguous, complex technical environments
- A knack for debugging messy web applications, articulating root causes clearly, and scaling one-off fixes into systemic product enhancements
- A genuine interest in AI agents, agentic web browsing, semantic HTML, enterprise workflows, and the future of software interaction
