GE - Régulation du travail et du commerce (OCIRT) is seeking a part-time remote QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst Engineer to ensure the quality and stability of their software solutions. The role involves validating software, designing test cases, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to QA process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Validating the quality and stability of software solutions
- Reviewing requirements
- Designing and executing test cases
- Documenting test results in a clear and structured manner
- Collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to identify defects
- Clarifying expected behavior
- Supporting timely resolution of issues
- Performing manual testing on new features and regression suites
- Tracking defects through lifecycle tools
- Contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation
- Participating in regular virtual meetings
- Reporting on test progress and risks
- Helping ensure that delivered solutions meet functional, usability, and regulatory expectations
Requirements:
- Strong Quality Assurance foundation, including Quality Assurance methodologies and best practices, with proven experience in designing and maintaining Test Cases
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing and Test Execution, ensuring coverage of functional, integration, and regression scenarios
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, detect defects, and assess risk and impact of changes
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools, and ability to document issues and results in a clear, structured way
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and collaboration within cross-functional, remote teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a part-time remote setting
- Relevant technical education or equivalent practical experience in software testing, computer science, or a related field
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus
