Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Database Administrator to provide ongoing operational support for a stable integration environment hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This role focuses on sustaining database health, ensuring performance reliability, and delivering targeted improvements as needed. The engagement is part-time, with a disciplined scope aligned to operational stability rather than large-scale transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily monitoring of database performance, availability, and system health
- Maintain and support Oracle databases within OCI environments
- Execute core database operations including create, read, update, and delete activities
- Administer database lifecycle tasks such as creation, installation, partitioning, cloning, and patching
- Conduct database audits to ensure compliance, integrity, and performance standards
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics; recommend and implement tuning improvements
- Support database programming needs, including stored procedures, queries, and performance optimization
- Apply and uphold information security policies and procedures across database environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration workflows and project activities
- Develop and maintain implementation guidelines, operational standards, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments
- Strong proficiency in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with database lifecycle management, including backup, recovery, and cloning
- Working knowledge of database security practices and compliance standards
- Experience supporting integration-driven environments with stable production workloads
- Ability to operate independently in a part-time, high-accountability role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation of database monitoring or maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with integration platforms and middleware operating in OCI
- Exposure to audit frameworks and database governance best practices
- Working knowledge of scripting or programming for database support
