Job Title: CAD Automation Engineer
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Job responsibilities:
- Develop MFG 3D model from the Engineering model (Digital twin of actual assembly) using standard CAD tools like Inventor, Solidworks or Creo
- CAD & BOM Engineering: Execute CAD updates, ECNs, BOM/MBOM authoring and routing hygiene to support ETO/high-mix production.
- DFMA/DFA & Feasibility: Prepare DFMA/DFA documentation, support design-for-manufacturing reviews, and identify quality, and efficiency improvements.
- Manufacturing Documentation (mechanical and electrical): Author pFMEA, Control Plans, Standardized Work Instructions, and line-level SOPs ensuring quality, safety, and repeatability, wiring routing creation for electrical assemblies
Technical Skills:
- Proven expetise in standard CAD packages like Inventor / Creo / Solidworks specifically with assembly module
- Manufacturing process design experience: EBOM to MBOM conversion, Process routings, knowledge about station design, line layout optimization
- Change management: BOM/MBOM authoring; ECN/ECR, ECO, MCO processes.
- DFMA/DFA: Design-for-Assembly & Manufacturing assessments, risk identification.
- Digital Tools (basic): PLM/ERP/MES awareness, BOMs, and production data.
- APIs experience of at least one CAD package will be preferred

- Balanced pyramid of experience between 2 to 10 years will be required
